Managing bodies of the Institution are the Governing Board, Director, and the Expert Head of the Institution
The Governing Board manages the Institution and enacts all the important documents and decisions on management. It consists of five members appointed by the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, and decides on management on its sessions.

Task
The task of the Institution is protection, maintenance and promotion of the National Park in order to protect and conserve the authenticity of the natural environment; to ensure an undisturbed progress of natural processes and sustainable use of natural resources as well as monitoring the implementation of requirements and measures of nature conservation in the area they manage, in accordance with law.
The Institution is established as a legal entity.
Director's Office deals with administrative and technical tasks on behalf of Director; protocol activities; media relations; contact and communications with the state, regional and local administrations, as well as with other legal and private entities; receiving and processing Director's mail; recording and archiving confidential mail; other technical and administrative tasks in connection with the activities of Director and his assistant.
Director manages the organization.
The director of the Park is responsible for establishing and realizing appropriate internal organization, efficient organization of work, realization of quality safety program, conservation and promotion of the Park as well as the coordination of internal organizational units.
Director is responsible for implementing business policies, particularly for planning the organization's work, realization of programs, supervising the work, as well as managing and leading the organization in its activities in conservation and protection of the National Park.

The Department for Protection, Maintenance, Conservation and Use of the National Park deals with tasks of protecting, maintaining, conserving, and using the Park. The particular stress is on creating the plan for protection, maintenance, conservation, use and promotion of the Park, the implementation of the plan, monitoring of the condition of the landscape as well as of both living and non-living environment, care about capital investments into the Park that covers protection, maintenance, conservation and use of the Park. The Department also deals with other appropriate professional work.

SUPERVISION SUBDIVISION:
The Supervision Subdivision supervises the conduct in the National Park in regard to Environment Protection Act and Ordinance on Order in Kornati National Park. The subdivision undertakes the appropriate administrative procedure and takes the appropriate legal measures against persons who broke the law or the Ordinance.
